Stemming from the popularity of DSLR cameras in film-making, we have added the Sound Devices Mix Pre-D to our audio inventory. A really neat feature of this mixer, is the stereo mic output for cameras such as the Canon 5D/7D, Nikon D800 etc. The breakout cable (included with rental) sends both left and right channels to the camera in a single-cable. The connector at the mixer-end is a locking mini XLR connector, meaning a robust and reliable connection.
The Mixer can take a mic or line input, and can provide 48v phantom power, meaning professional microphones can easily be interfaced with DSLR cameras.
